Chris Ingram began his broadcast career in news, in Boston. He’s been a radio news anchor, reporter, producer, newsroom manager, and a news-writer for CBS News in New York. But feedback from his friends led to a change in direction. “Everyone kept telling me I was funny, so I decided to try deejaying. It wasn’t until later that I realized they were talking about my looks, but by then it was too late.”
You might say Chris has radio in his blood. His grandfather, John, was a professional musician who played with all the major orchestras of the Big Band Era and for Toscanini in the NBC Radio Orchestra. His father is the legendary deejay and Radio Hall of Famer “Big” Dan Ingram. In fact, Chris got into radio at a very early age. “My first on-air experience was opening my father’s show on a visit to the studio while in third grade. It only lasted five seconds, but I was hooked!”
After a stint in the frozen tundra of the Adirondacks, it was time for a shot at the big time. Now he says, “I’m so excited to be at VOS-FM, playing the Greatest Hits of All Time. The listeners are great, we have a lot of fun together”
So, wake up with the Chris Ingram Show, only on VOS-FM.
